Tour Overview

The Poon Hill Trek is one of the most popular trekking routes in Nepal, offering incredible views of the Himalayan range, including peaks like Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare. The trek is known for its accessibility, making it ideal for beginners, families, and those looking for a less strenuous journey compared to other high-altitude treks.

The trek starts from Pokhara and typically takes 2-3 days to complete, with Poon Hill serving as the main highlight. At an elevation of 3,210 meters, Poon Hill provides a panoramic 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains, especially during sunrise. The trek passes through villages, lush forests, and rhododendron forests, making it a visually rich experience.

To undertake the trek, trekkers need an Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACCAP), which can be obtained in Kathmandu or Pokhara. While April is considered the best time for this trek due to the blooming of rhododendrons and clear weather, the route can be enjoyed year-round, each season offering a different aspect of the landscape.

The route offers good accommodations and food options along the way, making it a comfortable trek for those new to trekking or traveling with family.
