Pokhara offers you magnificent mountain views that give you a taste of what you will see and encounter on your short trek to Annapurna Base Camp. During your short time in the city, you will be fortunate to see mountains like Annapurna, Machhapucchre, Dhaulagiri, and many more from the window of your hotel rooms. The Fewa Lake bank is where you will also experience the best of life. The nightlife in Lakeside is regarded as one of Nepal's most lovely and entertaining.
During our short trek to Annapurna Base Camp, we will pass through the Annapurna Conservation Area. As we make our way through the Annapurna Conservation Area, we'll be surrounded by a rich variety of flora and fauna. We can enjoy pleasant walks through lush forests filled with rhododendrons, oak, pine trees, and more. One unique aspect of the ABC trail is the presence of bamboo forests in certain areas. If we trek in the spring, we'll be treated to the vibrant and colorful wildflower blooms that decorate the forests. In these woodlands, we can listen to the melodious chorus of singing birds and occasionally catch glimpses of wildlife.
Natural beauty abounds in the Annapurna region. The peaceful coexistence of the small ethnic villages in the area enhances its natural beauty. The majority of villagers are of the Gurung ethnic group, and they have upheld their culture and traditions to this day and sample some regional cuisine. We will stay in the Gurung and Magar villages along the way for a few nights and take advantage of their hospitality.
The route of the Annapurna Base Camp trek of 10 days is a traditional route. First, we will arrive at Pokhara, drive up to Siwai, and then hike to Chomrong. We will further hike to the Himalayas, Machhapuchhre Base Camp(MBC), and up to Annapurna Base Camp. On the return journey, we'll retrace our steps, passing through MBC and Himalaya Hotel before reaching Chhomrong and eventually returning to Pokhara.
Our 10-day trek to Mount Annapurna's base camp begins with a scenic drive to Pokhara and then Siwai on the second day, where our trek begins. From here, the trail passes through rural areas with a variety of cultural communities and gorgeous green hillsides. The area is blessed with heavenly energy, and stupas, chortens, and colorful prayer flags all wish you success as you travel. As the elevation increases, the breathtaking panorama will make you giddy to the bone. The villages in the Annapurna region are home to Gurungs, Magars, and Thakalis, who follow a blend of Hinduism and Buddhism. The locals lead a simple yet comfortable life, preserving their centuries-old traditions and cultures.
There is no better picture than the cotton-like clouds dotting the crystal pure blue sky, pointing to the perfectly sparkling snow-capped mountain peaks. The Annapurna Base Camp trek offers unforgettable moments, such as witnessing a breathtaking sunset at Machhapuchhre Base Camp and embarking on an early morning hike to catch the mesmerizing sunrise over the massive mountains, making the 10-day journey truly memorable.
Our guide will pick you from the hotel early in the morning and we will head towards the tourist bus station which takes 10 minutes walk from Thamel. We will spend almost seven hours to reach Pokhara. After arriving at a Pokhara, you can take a rest, or either you can explore the beauty of the city of the lakes. Overnight at Hotel.
From Pokhara, We will drive by taxi or car to Nayapul. We start walking towards Ghandruk via Sauli Bazar. It might take five to 6 hours to reach Ghandruk Village through steep hill trail. From this village, we can see beautiful Mount Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Himchuli & South Annapurna. Overnight at teahouse.
Leaving Ghandruk, We will trek through the Kumrong danda with ascending and descending and trek to reach beautiful Chhomrung with a typical Gurung peoples lifestyle and natural attraction. We spend our night at Chhomrong.
After having breakfast, the trail from Chhomrong village starts with a steep descend to Chhomrong Khola followed by a steep climbing after crossing the stream. It's going to be a multiple uphill and downhill day. Once we reach Sinuwa Village, we will be following a gentle trail to the top of Dovan and start descending for one hour. We will stay at Local Teahouse.
We will follow the trail from Dovan to Deurali is short and beautiful through the beautiful bamboo and rhododendron forests. On the way to Deurali can be seen beautiful majestic peaks will welcome us. We will climb to the Himalayan and stop for lunch and continue another two hours to reach Deurali for overnight. The path leads us between the beautiful Annapurna South in a side and Mount fishtail on the other side. We spend our night at Local Teahouse.
From Deurali, We pass through beautiful high alpine forests along with stunning Himalayan views of snow-capped peaks. we trek through several spots known for avalanches is not less adventurous and less challenging. After climbing uphill for a few hours, we will reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp MBC for the lunch; MBC is surrounded by peaks in 360 degrees. The trek further here becomes challenging because of the uphill trek and high altitude. Continuing for three hours will take us to Annapurna Base Camp, surrounded by the Magnificent high Himalayan peaks from all corners. We stay overnight at teahouse.
After spending some hours with the mountains, we will take breakfast, then after we will trek down to the beautiful Bamboo village. We will return following the same path. Our trail drops by around 1,700m along the bank of Modi Khola to Bamboo at 2,345m. Arriving at bamboo, we can go for a short exploration of the place. We will stay in the bamboo at teahouse.
From Bamboo, we will trek to reach Jhinu Danda. We will make a steep ascent to Kuldi Ghar. From Bamboo to Sinuwa, and following the stone steps to Lower Chomrong. Afterward, we will climb up a thousand stone steps to reach Chhomrong. Then after, we will descend through the steep trail to Jhinu Danda (Hiotspring). We can enjoy ourselves in the natural hot springs 20 minutes away from Jhinu Danda. We will stay in Jhinu danda at Teahouse.
After having breakfast, we start trek to Siwai from where we will take a shared jeep or bus to Nayapul followed by a private car/jeep to Pokhara. Today is one of the easy days among the whole trek. The path from Jhinu to Siwai is mostly flat and we will be following the thundering Modi river throughout. We walk through rice paddies and green hills on the side. Enjoy the last day of trekking in Pokhara before we start our journey back to Kathmandu on the next day. We stay overnight at the Hotel.
Today, We will follow the same highway through beautiful rivers, hills, and small Nepalese settlements. The Bus ride will take about seven hours to drop us in Kathmandu Valley. Form the tourist bus park You will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening you can explore Thamel or buying some souvenirs.
